MaxPreps Issues with import.txt Stat Input File

MaxPreps has made changes to the specs for the import.txt input file for 2025. The team total
entry on line 3 is no longer allowed. (It was required in previous years.) We will fix this issue
in the next versions of Volleyball Ace and the Strategic Analyzer. Until those fixes are published,
you can work around this problem by editing the import.txt file using any standard text editor.

Double-click on the import.txt MaxPreps input file to activate the notepad text editor (Windows) or
the TextEdit application (Macintosh). (The import.txt is located in the same folder/directory as the
Volleyball Ace stat files.) On the third line of the file (it begins with a vertical bar) you will see the
stat totals line. Note that this may not appear as the third line in the editor depending on how
large the window is displayed on the screen. Delete the entire third line and save the import.txt
file. This should now work correctly to upload stats to MaxPreps.

If you have outdated versions of Volleyball Ace or the Strategic Analyzer, then you may encounter
an issue with the name of the stats input file. MaxPreps used to allow any valid file name for
the stats upload file. However, this was changed to require the file name to be import.txt. You
can also get around this problem by renaming the input file to import.txt.
